#FoodiesWithoutBorders Brings Various Food Flavors & Cultures Under One Roof
Lahore, the cultural capital of Pakistan, recently saw an event that deserves more than just a mention. Organised by 7up Pakistan, this event collected the best of all the food from all parts of Pakistan and put it under one roof, only to celebrate and enjoy food.
Such dedication towards the foodies coming from 7up Pakistan has not come as a surprise since their association with food has been there ever since they came into being. Such events not only bring a lot of people together but also allows them to taste the food they have been missing out on. If you think the missing out bit here is an exaggeration, you might want to read ahead for the list of vendors that were specially flown into Lahore for this occasion.
From Karachi, there was the Chullu Kebab followed by the most famous Burns Road Bun Kebab. There is no way one can ignore the Karachi Haleem and Biryani where there is a talk about food. Other from Karachi included the 7up Limka and Liaquatabad Pani Puri.
Where Karachi stood high with its’ specialities, Lahore wasn’t going to stay behind. The onlookers and foodies saw the face of local food from Lahore that included the infamous Phajjey ke Paaye, the mouthwatering Zakirs Tikka and of course Waris Nihari! To add to it, we saw Bhaiyya Kabab and Gurda Champ.
As two huge cities had their food on display, Peshawer with its’ uniqueness was enticing to the visitors. Food from Peshawar included a variety of kebabs from different vendors like, Peshaweri Seekh Kabab and Allahuddin Chapali Kabab. Apart from Kebabs, Peshawer boasted of its’ traditional Kabuli Pulao and Namak Mandi along with Maalga Goat Sajji.
The food was, definitely something the visitors had been drooling over but to add to the ambience was a brilliant performance brought forward to them by Khumaariyan. It set up the ambience and the visitors enjoyed their food more than they would have.
Where the performance would have been great for adult foodies, props and items to pose with saw the attention of teenagers and children who seemed more than just fascinated and posed with their favourites rickshaws and buses. The event was well organised as every vendor was comfortably doing their job and despite the amount of people who were around, the event functioned brilliantly.
If the list of the vendors does not churn your stomach, there is a problem! As if the vendors themselves weren’t incentive enough, the event also saw many stars from various fields in Pakistan. Celebrities were seen all throughout the event and also had a special video booth to connect with their fans! These include the Rockstar Ali Hamza, the funny Ahmed Ali Butt and the beautiful models, Cybil and Natty. Food and celebrities, both under one roof? Sounds like a good deal!
