Hamza Ali Abbasi and item song controversy
Just a couple of days ago, Ayesha Omer’s seductive item number for an upcoming Pakistani movie was making buzz on social media, and then, Hamza Ali Abbasi, on his official Facebook page, posted that, he was tremendously proud of Zhalay Sarhadi for not taking her cloths off for her performance in Jalaibee. Because of the timing of his comment, most of the fans took it directly against Ayesha Omer, even when it did not mention her.
Now, once again, Hamza Ali Abbasi, on his Facebook page, posted that, his comment did not target an individual but the overall culture. ‘I am not pointing fingers at anyone, but yes, i am just saying there is a certain responsibility of Actors, the Producers and Directors who insist on making exposure based songs and films,’ Hamza posted.

Giving his review on the Jalaibee, Hamza Ali Abbasi posted on his Facebook that, ‘I am tremendously proud of Zahalay Sarhadi for not taking her clothes off in her performance in the film. Proud of Yasir Jaswal for not going along with the emerging trend of revealing “item numbers” in Pakistan films.’ His comment appeared as he was targeting Ayesha Omer for doing a very bold item number.
Hamza, in another Facebook post, added that, ‘I myself am ashamed of being a part of this western and bollywood onslaught and i pledge never to be a part of anything which is against our culture and values. I will make an effort to be what i believe in.”

‘I absolutely hate it when my comments are presented as being against an individual. As far as negative trends in media are concerned, I unfortunately am a part of it as i shared the screen and romanced with women in bikinis in an upcoming comedy film,’ Hamza complained.
