Heroes of Pakistan join hands with the Superhero of Pakistan.
With the largest ambulance service in the world and shelter for thousands of troubled individuals, the Edhi Foundation is no stranger to the world of kindness. Thanks to the golden reputation and legacy of the foundation, PepsiCo and PCB have decided to play their part in making lives better.
On June 17th, General Manager and Head of Marketing PepsiCo, in alliance with the PCB donated 1 Million to the Edhi Foundation. This donation came as a result of PCB choosing Edhi Foundation as its’ primary charity partner. This donation was handed over to the trustee of the Edhi Foundation, Mr Saad Edhi, who also happens to be the Grandson of Abdul Sattar Edhi, the symbol of kindness and the founder of this charitable organisation.
Unlike various other multi-nationals, PepsiCo has never shied away from CSR campaigning and has taken numerous steps in the direction of betterment. A recent example of that would happen to be the Lighting Up Lives campaign that gave a rupee from every 1.75L bottle towards the enlightenment of children. Initiatives like that, especially in the Holy month of Ramadan act as a guiding light for many unfortunate individuals and also as an encouragement for people who want to do something for the society.
The bond that PepsiCo and PCB share has been remarkable over the years and to see the Superhero of Pakistan, Abdul Sattar Edhi, be a part of this bond makes it better than it was. A man who singlehandedly changed the face of emergencies in Pakistan to be acknowledged and encouraged on such a large scale calls for an applause for PCB as well as PepsiCo.
