“I am hoping I will be compensated,” Chand Nawab
Pakistani news reporter Chand Nawab is not just a viral internet celebrity in Pakistan but also in India after Salman Khan’s latest Bollywood venture Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Nawab, who earlier praised Salman Khan and director Kabir Khan, is now seeking some compensation from them for using his character. In an interview, Nawab said that he doesn’t want to deal with the legalities, and that he is a poor journalist and expect Salman Khan to compensate hi for using him as an inspiration.
Chand Nawab, who is soon expected to meet Salman Khan upon latter’s wish, said that he is requesting Salman Khan for compensation and just. He won’t be going to court upon rejection.
“People have said that I should be compensated for inspiring the character of the reporter in the film. I am also hoping I will be compensated,” Nawab told Hindustan Times on phone from Karachi on Friday.
Earlier, the director Kabir Khan praised Nawab during a show on Pakistani new channel and said the latter is now a star. He wished to make a sequel.
