Pakistani boy Sumail Hassan’s team wins International Dota 2 Championship
Pakistani boy Sumail Hassan’s team ‘Evil Geniuses’ has won the title of International Dota 2 Championship and the prize money of $18 millions. Earlier, Sumail became Dota Asia Championship at the age of 15.
In 2014, Hassan’s family moved to US from Pakistan. . They were a family of eight, two parents and six kids, jammed into a three-bedroom space. Money was tight and work unsteady; for most of them, the move was a struggle. But their 15-year-old son, Sumail, was thrilled—being in the U.S. meant less lag time when he played Dota 2. Sumail Hassan made $200,000 after one month as a professional gamer in the U.S.

’15-year old Pakistani prodigy in Syed “Suma1l” Hassan went on to stun the Dota 2 community with his breakout performance. Evil Geniuses won the Dota Asia Championships, making Hassan the youngest player in the history of Dota 2 to exceed $500,000 in winnings,’ reports Yahoo News.
‘As first place finishers of TI5, Evil Geniuses will take home more than $6.6 million in prize money from the overall prize pool of more than $18 million. CDEC will take home more than $2.8 million’ adds Yahoo News report.
