Samsung Mobiles EXPOSED by Pakistani Geniuses
There is a video going viral on social media regarding a ‘chip’ on mobile batteries on Samsung smartphones. In that video, the proclaimed ‘Pakistani Geniuses’ are claiming that Samsung is using that chip to steal users data and uploading it on internet without their permission.
However, the reality is that the chip is called, ‘NFC Chip’ (Near Field Communication), which is used to transfer data from one mobile to another in very quick time, as compared to bluetooth and infrared technologies. The battery clearly labels it below Samsung logo as “near field communication”.
According to a tech website, “the NFC circuitry itself is in the phone, but the antenna is in the battery. This is due to the layout of the phone. Since the range of NFC is very small, the antenna is placed on the outer side of the battery to increase the range as much as possible.”
This NFC chip also works with the Samsung TecTiles app and enables features for making small transactions such contactless payments.
